Out of State move Extortion!! Yelp review

Charged me a $1,000 dollars more on day of move. Mike & Steve never call back once you pay the binding agreement to only pay a low end moving company to sub contract a horrific move for above average price that I never agreed to but it’s binding so they can say whatever on move day! Showed up a little late but my brand new fridge didn’t show up and my dining room chair leg was ripped into pieces which concerns me with my fridge being roughed up. If you have children and a family don’t do it this is where I could only imagine having a family and be treated like this.

It has been a nightmare sense day one

It has been a stressful move with this company and with Rep.Robert allen from wrong inventory to calling to get a refund with dispatching manager Jake walker within the 72hr period but was told call tomorrow and maybe ID get a refund .jake was nice the first day than got really rude and said maybe I shouldn't book a move i can't pay for.paying for it was not the problem. so I adjusted my Cubic feet to fit their needs of missing like more than 10 inventory items. My estimate went down and now I can't even get the new contract to sign to move forward i call customer service and I get the run around that everyone's busy and they will call me back when they do get back to me its coincidentally close to closing time .my first inventory list was wrong and I was lied to about the cost for what I was moving.I tried working with them but they are not serious once they have your deposit your stuck and will get screwed over .this morning received a new contract and its still the old one with old prices old cubic feet with updated inventory .like wow ive been crying cause its been a nightmare. Please lord i just want this to be over .?

Prior to every move we do place the Quality Assurance call to go over the inventory one last time prior to pickup to ensure accuracy. We are moving 100's of families every month so doing the QA early would essentially throw off the customers that came before you as to our scheduling.
When reviewing the notes on your file it appears all went well at the pickup you reported. States on the 29th that the carrier was going to call you with the delivery info.

Worse experience- Luggage not delivered on time and no status update

NEVER GO WITH THIS COMPANY- RUN AWAY.

My stuff was picked up on 5/23/2021. I paid 790$ while booking with Greenleaf. On the day of pickup,Iwas asked to pay in cheque only for 1100$ and was charged 300$ extra Saying my apartment is at third floor which i mentioned while booking this move but they never agreed. Even after that, we were promised to get our stuff delivered from Houston to Richmond in 14 days. Based on that plan, we booked an apartment and now we are in an empty apartment since a month without any stuff. No one knows the status of our goods, worst customer service experience until now. These People internally hire Pioneer company for movIng and deliver the stuff. Pioneer company has only 1 employee who never picks up the call and lying about the delivery date and status. I even tried talking to manager LISA from Greenleaf, who asked me not to call for a week and gave me 6/16/2021 date to call back to get a final update. I have been calling since then, but no updates as usual. I have to call by different numbers as if I call from my registered number, it is not picked up. LISA talked very rudely and never gave us a call back for update.

Now until today, I dont have any idea where my stuff is or is it stolen by someone or broken. I am just sitting in an empty apartment.

I will be filing a police complaint if I dont get my stuff this week. Beware guys, this is a fraud.

Never ever use this company for moving.

If Necessary For Your Move, Additional Services And Fees May Be Applied:

The packing of delicate items (televisions, mattress covers, glass tops, or delicate items, etc.)
Any additional packing or special crating (if not already listed on estimate)
The loading of any bulky items (kayaks/canoe, motorcycle, piano, ATV)
Full packing services are available if needed. If a full pack is purchased, Green Leaf Moving and Storage will coordinate all labor and materials needed to professionally pack all household items listed. This includes all boxes, furniture packing, and delicate/fragile items. If additional household items are added at the time of pick up, then the total price for full service packing will be increased and adjusted by the guaranteed rate provided. The customer will receive a new written agreement at time of pick up.
Shuttle services can be provided if necessary. If circumstances prohibit a semi-trailer to get close to the property for loading or unloading, a shuttle truck may be needed to complete the service. This can be arranged for a minimum charge of $300.
If there are more than one flight of stairs (up to 10 consecutive steps), an additional fee of $75.00/flight may be added.
Long carry (first 75ft free). Anything after 75 feet will be re-adjusted by the foreman at $1.25/Foot.
Furthermore, the contract also states that we DO NOT guarantee pickup or delivery dates. The mover has 21 business days legally to deliver. If they exceed that time frame they would pay out a daily fee based on their tariff's for the days late. This normally comes off of the remaining balance.

Worst Scam going

Green Leaf is a complete scam they steal your deposit, lie about pick up and delivery. I may have to eat 2,000 deposit but my life mission is to spread to word to RUN do not Use this company they tell you a date then as it arrives tell you it wasnt promisednd, although Jeff the sales guy assured me a truck would be in my area. Then they send an email that IF something goes missing they will TRY to help you recover it. They are a BROKER not a mover, ,,do not use them

Worst Scam

Make it simple: they stole my deposit. They use another scam mover. They lost my shipment. They can't locate where my stuffs are. I can't talk to anyone from Green Leaf. I called them 6 times. On hold over an hour each time and then my calls got drop. I don't know if people who give them 4 or 5 star are their employees or not. They deserved no star at all.

Don't trust them.

Do not trust this company. They outright lied to me when convincing me to use them for my move. When I talked to customer service about it, they acknowledged that they had lied to me but have done nothing to improve the situation.

When I booked them, I was living several states away from my destination but did not have a place to live yet. The sales person said it wouldn’t be a problem. They would ship my stuff to the destination city and if I hadn’t found a place to live yet, they would store it for 30 days for free. Once I found a place, all I had to do was let them know and my stuff would be delivered 2-3 days later. I quickly found a place and let them know the address and move in date 4 days before my lease started. Then 4 days later, once my lease had started, they hadn’t contacted me with delivery time so I reached out to them. Instead of shipping my stuff to my destination they had stored it at my origin with the intent of shipping it to me after 30 days. They couldn’t even give me an estimate on when my goods would be delivered.

Now it has been 3 weeks and I still don’t even have an estimate on when my stuff will arrive. When I talked with the customer service person 3 weeks ago, I was informed that what I was told at sale is not how things go. Goods are stored and then shipped to the customer, not the other way around. All they did was call the shipper to confirm what the shipper had already told me: they can’t give me an estimate. No offer to try to expedite my shipping. No offer of any sort of refund. Customer service did nothing but acknowledge that they lied to me and that there was nothing to be done about it.

Additionally, the sales person said that they would be in constant contact with me and I would know the current status and where my stuff is. They have never reached out to me to let me know anything. I have had to initiate contact every time and every time I get told nothing useful. Near as I can tell, my stuff is still in storage and I’ll get it someday.

If I could give zero I would

We booked our long distance move for auto and home on 5/14. The movers were scheduled for 6/17 we paid for the one day window since we had to be out of our home that day. We made sure we let green leaf know we had to be gone by the night of 6/17 and they let us know that would be no problem at all they would put notes on the file to ensure we were picked up early. On 6/16 we got a call at 5:45 from dispatch letting us know our move was scheduled for 6/17 between 3-7pm. At 4:45 on 6/17 I called to check ETA and was told they would not be able to get to us until after 9pm or the next day. This is completely unacceptable as we made it very clear multiple times that we had to be out on 6/17 the home is rented as of 6/19 and 6/18 they are doing maintenance to the home. I just called back at 8:45 and was told there was no way she could help me as dispatch leaves at 5pm and would return the call in the morning but her advice was just to stay up and wait for them because they could still be coming anytime tonight. This move is over 5,000.00 and This is completely unprofessional. I will never use this company again and will def NEVER recommend to anyone.

Working with greenleaf was honestly the worst moving experience I’ve ever had. The long and short of it is they underestimated how much space was needed for our goods. On moving day we were having to prioritize and then figure out what to leave behind. After paying my fee, I was never able to actually speak to a customer service representative. Mike Price would not return my calls to try to help me through the situation. Lots of other details he was dishonest about as well. For example, I was told at first that I would pay with certified funds on delivery day. Then the company tells me they only accept cash upon delivery. This meant multiple runs to the bank and having to carry around a lot more cash than I am comfortable with. Overall, they made a stressful time far worse than it needed to be. Do not work with the these people.

If a customer has unique items we always recommend that they perform a facetime or google duo to ensure accuracy. Prior to the moves we always do a QA call giving customers the opportunity to add or remove items for accuracy also. Now, if the movers show up and there are additional items as to what's listed on the inventory, yes the cost would increase. We would imagine people would understand this as they are now taking up more space on the truck. Also if your move took place Saturday after noon or Sunday we are shorter staffed and we do apologize if you had trouble reaching us. Nonetheless, if customer have additional items there is only so much we can do when the movers are on-site.
